Google is solving one of the biggest productivity hurdles with a new AI feature. Now, inside Gemini Canvas, users can instantly turn any text document—from a long report to a simple outline—into a fully formed Google Slides presentation, completely bypassing the “blank slide” problem.
The AI does more than just copy text. It interprets your document’s structure to build a logical and visually appealing presentation. This includes generating all necessary titles, creating section breaks for clarity, and sourcing relevant visuals to match your content.
This feature is a major upgrade for Google’s productivity suite. It transforms Gemini from a simple writing assistant into a comprehensive productivity partner, capable of handling complex layout and design tasks with speed.
Once the AI generates the deck, users retain full control. The presentation can be exported directly to Google Slides for any final edits, additions, or collaborative work, ensuring the final product is perfectly polished.
This powerful new tool is already rolling out to users across the globe. It’s available for both personal Google accounts and corporate Workspace users, with Gemini Advanced (Pro) subscribers reportedly getting the first access. A wider rollout is expected to follow.
