Kyoto Introduces Direct Bus Route to Awaji Island for Shinobi-Zato Visitors

Starting July 1, 2026, travelers from Kyoto will have a new, convenient way to reach Japan’s beloved anime site, “NARUTO&BORUTO Shinobi-Zato,” located at Nijigen no Mori on Awaji Island. A direct bus ticket package is set to launch, providing a seamless round-trip journey from Kyoto Station to Awaji I.C., coupled with admission to the anime-themed attraction. This package aims to simplify the travel experience for both local and international visitors by eliminating the need for transfers.

The direct bus service will make the approximately 90-minute journey from Kyoto to Awaji Island a scenic adventure, offering views of bridges and the sea along the way. Once at the park, visitors can enjoy two flagship attractions: the “Heaven’s Scroll (Ten no Maki)” 3D maze and the “Earth Scroll (Chi no Maki)” mission rally. This package is available for weekdays only, excluding major holidays, with adult tickets priced at 8,200 yen and children’s tickets at 4,250 yen, inclusive of taxes. Tickets can be purchased online and must be exchanged at the Kyoto Bus Ticket Center.

“NARUTO&BORUTO Shinobi-Zato” brings the world of the famous ninja anime series to life, featuring attractions that recreate the Hidden Leaf Village, along with character displays and interactive training activities. Situated within Nijigen no Mori, the park merges Japanese anime culture with outdoor entertainment, providing an immersive experience for anime enthusiasts.

Nijigen no Mori on Awaji Island is renowned for its attractions based on popular Japanese entertainment franchises, offering guests a chance to engage with interactive experiences in a picturesque island setting. The introduction of the direct bus service from Kyoto is anticipated to enhance accessibility for anime fans and tourists seeking a unique travel experience in Japan this summer.
