Vietnam and Russia are set to enhance their collaborative efforts in human resource training and scientific research, as discussions held in Hanoi on October 7 indicate a growing partnership between the two countries. Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Chairman of the Commission for Policy and Strategy of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, engaged in talks with a Russian delegation to explore ways to strengthen bilateral relations through education and technology.
The talks emphasized the potential of combining Russia’s high technology capabilities with Vietnam’s developmental needs. Both parties identified human resource development as a crucial area for long-term cooperation, underscoring the importance of fostering connections between educational and training institutions. The discussions also highlighted the significance of increasing exchanges among experts, facilitating engineer training, and initiating joint research projects.
Beyond human resource development, the meeting touched on other sectors ripe for expanded cooperation, including science and technology, innovation, energy, and oil and gas. These areas were recognized for their potential to contribute significantly to the economic and strategic interests of both nations.
The dialogue reflects ongoing efforts by Vietnam and Russia to deepen their exchanges and establish more substantive partnerships in education, technology, and strategic research. By aligning their strengths and development needs, the two countries aim to create mutually beneficial initiatives that could bolster their economic and educational landscapes.
